Light Jet Charter in Greenwood
A light jet carries four to seven passengers at around 400 knots, lands at smaller airports the airlines skip, and costs less per hour than larger cabins. We match the aircraft to your trip, check how it has been maintained, and price it one way.
Trips a light jet handles best
Jets like the Citation CJ3, Phenom 300 and HondaJet are made for short and medium trips, most often one to three hours, with nonstop range of roughly 1,200 to 2,000 nautical miles based on the model, the load and the winds. Leaving central Indiana, that brings much of the Midwest, Southeast and Northeast within one leg.
What you give up is cabin room. Seating is club style with limited headroom, the baggage area holds soft bags and a few rollers, and any lavatory is a small one. That is usually plenty for a business day trip or a weekend with family, and you are not paying for space nobody uses.
In our 5 years of arranging charter, we have come to know the operators whose aircraft we book. An airframe with steady care, current inspections and a refreshed cabin often flies better than a newer jet with little maintenance history behind it, so upkeep comes before model year when we choose.
What comes with a light jet charter
- Flown only by Part 135 carriers
- FAA-certified Part 135 air carriers operate every flight. Their certificate sets rules for pilot training, duty limits, maintenance programs and operational control, and that is the line between a commercial charter and a casual arrangement.
- Questions about how the jet is kept
- For the exact tail number on your quote, we ask about inspection status and recent maintenance work. Engines, avionics and cabins wear at different rates, and we prefer a jet that has had steady care over one fresh out of a long stretch on the ground.
- One all-inclusive price
- Flight time, repositioning, taxes, segment fees and FBO charges are all in the quote. Nothing hidden turns up after landing.
- Priced point to point
- You are billed only for the legs you take. A one-way trip never carries round trip pricing, and there are no prepaid hours or long term commitments.
- WIFI and pets
- Pets are allowed, and if you need to work in flight we can book a WIFI equipped aircraft. Mention both on the call and we will choose a jet to match.
When a light jet makes sense
No more than seven are flying
Four to seven seats is typical in a light jet. A larger group or a lot of heavy bags points to a midsize jet charter instead.
The trip is about three hours or less
A light jet may have to stop for fuel on a longer leg. To cross the country nonstop, a super-midsize cabin is the better fit.
Flying commercial eats a whole day
When seeing a client in a smaller city means connecting through a hub, flying direct in a light jet can have you there and home again by dinner.
The runway at the other end is short
Light jets fit into many airfields too small for regional airlines, which often lands you nearer to your real destination.
The trip came up suddenly
When a flight cannot wait, we set up on demand departures at any hour, as long as an aircraft and crew are available.
How we arrange your flight
- 1
Tell us the trip
By phone or video, we go over dates, passenger count, bags, pets and any timing that cannot move.
- 2
We match and vet the aircraft
We compare light jets positioned near your departure, then check the operator's certificate and the aircraft's maintenance standing before quoting it.
- 3
You get an all-inclusive quote
The quote names the aircraft type and lists what is included. If a turboprop or a larger jet would serve you better, we say so.
- 4
Departure day
You arrive at the FBO about 15 to 20 minutes before departure, your bags go straight to the aircraft, and the crew handles the rest.

What changes a light jet quote
Flight hours set most of a light jet price, and a few trip details decide how many hours you end up paying for. Every line on your quote comes with an explanation so the source of each cost is clear.
- Getting the jet to you
- When the closest fitting jet is parked a few hundred miles off, its flight to your airport goes into the price. Choosing an aircraft based nearby keeps that piece small.
- Which model and how it is kept
- A newer or bigger light jet has a higher hourly rate. An older airframe with solid maintenance records can lower the price while holding the same standard.
- Nights out and waiting
- A trip spanning several days may bring crew lodging and parking fees. Coming back the same day leaves those off.
- Weather and time of year
- De-icing at the FBO on a cold winter morning adds to the price, and fewer jets are free on holiday weekends.
Common light jet questions
Something not covered here? (317) 350-1382
How many people can a light jet carry?
Four to seven on most models, based on the aircraft and its seating. Weight from fuel and bags counts too, so a full cabin on a long trip might call for a fuel stop. We work that out before you get a quote.
What can we pack?
Expect room for soft bags and a few carry-on rollers for the group. Some models take golf bags or skis and some do not. Give us a full list of what is coming and we will check that it fits.
Does a light jet have a restroom?
Plenty of light jets have a small lavatory, at times a belted seat behind a privacy curtain. Others have none at all. If your group needs one, we quote only aircraft that include it.
Can we leave from an airport near Greenwood?
In most cases, yes. A light jet can use the smaller airports around Indianapolis, which tend to be easier than the main terminal for people coming from Franklin, Bargersville or Whiteland.
Is a return flight required?
No. Pricing is point to point, so we quote a one-way trip as one way. When an empty leg lines up with your route, we will point it out as well.
